5 places to see Santa

Check out these 5 places to see Santa in Cornwall this Christmas.

This year a visit to see Santa doesn’t have to be for the kids alone.  Santa will be making guest appearances at some of the biggest events in Cornwall this Christmas, guaranteeing festive fun for all ages!

Eden Project (19 Oct – 2 Mar)

As always our friends at the Eden Project will be making every effort to provide their visitors with a magical experience this Christmas.  The ice rink is back with sessions to suit all abilities; including ice discos on some Friday evenings as a holiday treat.  Father Christmas will also be waiting with his elves and real reindeer to tell stories by the fire and spread Christmas cheer!  There’s plenty more to see, with lantern parades, live music and storytelling, Christmas craft workshops and of course heaps of delicious food and drink.

Newquay Festive Festival (29 Nov – 1 Dec)

This year’s Festive Festival kicks off with Santa and his real reindeer setting their sleigh co-ordinates for the Hotel Victoria, followed by a fabulous lantern parade and a fireworks display across the harbour.  The fun continues over the weekend with a kid’s trail competition to help Santa find his reindeer and a Food & Craft Market in Fore Street.

Penzance Christmas Lights Festival (30 Nov)

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without venturing out in the cold to see the lights turn on!  Penzance always puts on a great display, and this year it will be running alongside a Christmas market, entertainment throughout the town centre, and of course, Santa in his sleigh.

Padstow Christmas Festival (5 Dec – 8 Dec)

Our favourite Christmas festival is back, and it’s set to be as delicious as ever!  Perfect for foodies, the festival brings Padstow to life with celebrity chefs, culinary delights and plenty of festive fun.  The kids will be kept entertained with Santa’s grotto, fireworks and cake decorating and face painting workshops.  Plus, don’t miss the live cookery demonstrations or the traditional Christmas market which will be laden with Cornish goodies and gifts.

Santa Fun Run (27 Nov – 14 Dec)

And if seeing one Santa at a time isn’t enough, head down to the Santa Fun Run on 14 December to see hundreds of Santas fundraising for Cornwall Hospice Care!  If you would like to take part contact www.cornwallhospicecare.co.uk
