Truro . City of lights, City of Life.

Towan Valley what's on guide.

As the evenings draw in and the chill descends, it can only mean one thing…Christmas is coming.

Cornwall is a magical place to be during the festive season and Truro does us proud with its annual ‘City of lights’ festival; this year will not disappoint. As day sets on November 19th the streets of Truro, from Falmouth Road to Lemon Street, will fill with lanterns of light dancing sporadically across the night sky and the sound of the county’s youth.

The incandescent procession is an event which is highly anticipated by many and one that signals the start of the festive season here in Cornwall. For Cornish residents and visitors alike, the night is like no other.

A winter break in Cornwall can be just as exhilarating as a summer one. Booking into Towan Valley this winter will mean being here for events like the City of lights festival or you can be a part of the Santa Fun Runs for charity. There’s also ice skating at Eden and let’s not forget the Lappa Valley Santa Train.
