Porthtowan
Porthtowan is situated on a stunning part of the Cornish coastline. It lies between Godrevy Head and St Agnes Head on the heritage coast, in a protected area of natural beauty.
The Blue Flag beach is a short walk from the holiday cottages at Towan Valley. Backed by impressive cliffs, it stretches out to around a mile and a half at low tide and is famed for its excellent surf and fantastic views. Out of season it is dog friendly, but during the summer-ban dog owners can still enjoy the fabulous walks along the coastal paths.
Although famous for its beautiful beach, Porthtowan has much more to offer. Chapel Porth can be reached on foot along the beach at low tide, and there are several cliff top walks along the South West Coast Path.
Facilities include the locally loved Blue Bar along with other cafes, beach shops and surf schools. There is also a children’s play park behind the sand dunes.
