St Agnes Trevaunance Cove

St Agnes

Hugely popular with the locals and tourists alike, St Agnes is a beautiful parish surrounded by unspoilt coastline.

Once you’ve been to St Agnes, you’ll definitely want to come back.  The little village is packed with independent shops and world-class pubs and restaurants. Couple that with the stunning coast path and dog-friendly beaches, and you’re on to a winner.

Chapel Porth is just around the corner, and it’s an absolute must-visit. With its breathtaking beach and superb cafe that serves the best ice-cream around (think traditional Cornish ice-cream smothered in clotted cream and a topping of your choice), you won’t want to leave.  At high tide the beach largely disappears, leaving a small section of stone and shingle shore.  As the tide retreats  the golden sands of Chapel Porth Beach are revealed, stretching from St Agnes Head to the far end of Porthtowan Beach.

The coastline around St Agnes is also a haven for wildlife. See if you can spot basking sharks, seals or dolphins!

St Agnes is easily accessible from Towan Valley, six minutes by car or ten on foot via the most direct route. If you’ve got an hour to spare, we recommend taking the coastal path which passes through Chapel Porth beach.
